The Lambs/Lambily or Mariah Carey fans are freaking out yesterday, as their Queen Mariah has changed her Twitter name and layout to honor her Glitter character, ‘Billie Frank.
In case you didn’t know, Mariah got “justice” for the album back in 2018 at the time she will be releasing a new album, 'Caution' when it surged to the No. 1 spot on iTunes, thanks to the fan's initiative (#JusticeForGlitter).Turn Sylk way down... https://t.co/PgLIeEidCP— Billie Frank (@MariahCarey) May 21, 2020
"I have to dedicate today's #tbt to Glitter, which is currently #1 on the iTunes albums chart, 17 years after its release and on the eve of my new album release! My fans are THE BEST πππ #JusticeForGlitter!! LET'S GO #CAUTION⚠️"
The film, which has become a cult classic, famously got poor reviews upon its release, and its accompanying soundtrack was unfortunately released on September 11, 2001. Despite that victory, the Glitter soundtrack has yet to be released on streaming, and the movie is not available on popular services like Netflix. Fans are hopeful that this post means it’ll be made available soon!
“This is all about them. And I should not have to feel bad about that because it was all about the circumstances when the album came out, so it’s exciting,” Mariah said at the time.
