'RAIN ON ME' WITH ARIANA GRANDE

'Rain on Me' was released on May 22, 2020, as the second single from Chromatica with Ariana Grande. The song spans genres such as dance-pop, disco, house, and electropop. It was described by Gaga as a "celebration of tears," it is about being able to keep going despite the hardships of life.

It was first mentioned in Gaga's March 16, 2020, interview for Paper that the song, which unknown to be with Grande, was described as a "monster of a dance tune, but its message is about submitting yourself to devastation - a flawless dance floor crier as a "celebration of all the tears." Gaga disclosed that she had collaborated with a "fellow female pop star who [had similarly experienced] immense trauma while in the public eye" and went into depth about the genesis of their song: "I sat with her and we talked about our lives. It's two women having a conversation about how to keep going and how to be grateful for what you do."

Rumors of Gaga’s collaboration with Blackpink have circulated since March when Target accidentally leaked the Chromatica tracklist on their website; Gaga later confirmed the tracklist and collaborations on April 21st. “I wanted to celebrate them because they love powerful women like us, and they also wanted to celebrate me, and we had a great time together with this song,” Gaga told Japanese outlet TV Groove. “I was excited to hear them interpret the song in Korean, and told them that the part was so creative and fun.”

'Sour Candy' was released as a promotional single of the album and has no confirmed music video yet. You can listen to the official audio below instead:
