'Say So' (Remix) By Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj Hits No. 1 On Billboard Chart, Plus Made History With Beyonce And Megan Thee Stallion

'Say So' (Remix) by Doja Cat ft. Nicki Minaj reached number 1 on the Billboard top 100. The track jumps up from the #6 spot. It beat out Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix with Beyoncé, which is now at #2 after rising from #4.


On Monday (May 11), Billboard announced that Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj earned the Billboard No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart for their "Say So (Remix)." The track leaped from the sixth spot on the chart and secured both artists with their first Billboard No. 1 victory.


Following the Billboard announcement, Nicki Minaj took to social media to thank 'Barbz', her fans for making the song, no. 1, and Doja for including her to the song. Even Nicki jumped on the bandwagon of Twitter users jabbing Doja to follow through, wondering, “What time r u showing ur boobs? She wrote: 
"I love you so much. Omg. Barbz you’re just Pleading face. You just never cease to amaze me. You never stop making me proud. I saw everything u guys did this past week. Barbz & Kittenz made history. Love you @DojaCat thanks for thinking of me for this moment. What time r u showing ur boobs?"

Last week, Doja revealed how she would celebrate her feat with her fans. "If say so hits #1 I'll show you guys my boobs really hard," she tweeted. 

Of course, Doja never actually had any real intention of freeing her nipples in exchange for those streams, even admitting as much during a celebratory live stream on Instagram.

For the first time in Billboard history, 4 Black women are occupying the top 2 spots on the Hot 100



Doja's remix wasn't the only legendary collaboration to drop during the last week of April. Megan Thee Stallion also released a remix of her own. Megan blessed her fans with a Houston native collab with Beyonce for "Savage." Megan and Bey now hold the No. 2 spot, making this Meg's first single to debut in the top 10. This is the first time two female rappers' songs have occupied the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100.
