It's Confirmed! BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez Collaboration Are Happening

SELPINK in your area! After weeks of speculations and numerous reports, Selena Gomez has finally confirmed that she is collaborating with popular South Korean girl band, BLACKPINK on a new single.  



Sorry AriPink stans, but Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK collaboration aren't happening yet, as YG Entertainment has finally confirms who's the mystery artist will BLACKPINK collaborate for their upcoming single, and it's none other than, Selena Gomez.


YG also stated, “These two artists, who have been fans of one another for a long time, have finally made their dreams come true with this collaboration. BLACKPINK expresses their thanks to Selena for participating in this album and is excited to share the new song with fans.”

 The 28-year-old Hollywood celebrity also confirmed the news on her official Twitter account, saying that she is beyond excited to team up with one of the most popular bands in the world right now. Selena wrote:
“So SO excited to announce @BlackPinkOfficial and I have a new song coming out August 28th,” 

On July 23, BLACKPINK announced on their official social media account the new single release with mystery artist. The day After the announcement, news reports and fans speculated that the featured artist was Ariana Grande. Ariana became a popular hashtag on Twitter trends worldwide. Ariana and BLACKPINK were met back in 2019.

The next day, Selena Gomez became trending next to Ariana as there are numerous report that Selena is the one who will be featured in BLACKPINK's upcoming single, and it turns out, the rumors were true!

This is the first time that Selena Gomez will collaborate to a K-Pop artist, while BLACPINK's third time to collaborate with American artists - "Kiss and Make up" with Dua Lipa in 2018, "Sour Candy" with Lady Gaga last April, and this month with Selena Gomez.




BLACKPINK released their comeback song, "How You Like That" last June 26, 2020. As of today, the official music video have 414,079,539 views since the release.
